Mission
The department of Management Information Systems (MIS) is responsible for information technology systems evelopment and support for the core administrative and academics information systems of departments across the university. The MIS department is responsible also for providing phone and data services for all BBU's offices. In the future MIS department will develop relations with, and provide a service to, all regional campuses to build common BBU Extranet Information System at national level. In particular, the MIS Department provides high quality services that facilitate the use of computing and information technology for research, teaching & learning, management & administration and other facets of the academic process in the University.
Goals
Goals1: Introduce the new information system and new technology that create savings, improve service, and maximize the University's investment in systems.
Goal 2: Extend the usefulness of these information systems with new technologies, workflow and other processes.
Goal 3: Support the promising emerging technologies to maintain a competitive, leadership role that attracts the brightest students, staff and research funding.
Goal 4: Create strategic partnerships that support the institution's goals, mission and vision and which create strategic advancement opportunities.
Goal 5: Maintain, enhance and improve the technology infrastructure to alleviate outages and improve reliability.
Department Administrators :
Management Information Systems (MIS) is a team of professionals committed to developing partnerships with others within the University community to provide the highest level of service in the areas of information technology systems development and support, and consulting on the effective use of information technology.
